I made my first trip to Roosevelt Island today.  Don't worry, it's not a tropical paradise.  Nothing you can reach by subway could ever be a tropical paradise.  It's like Sim City come to reality.  It is so, planned.  I don't know how to describe it.  The whole town gave me a surreal feeling.  There were almost no people to speak of.  There was this one older guy that was following us, not in a completely creepy way, just annoying.  "Are you looking for me?"  Dude, nobody is looking for you.

The architecture there was interesting.  The whole area gave the impression of grayness even though there were bright colors everywhere.  RED, YELLOW, ORANGE.  It was such an odd town.  Considering it is so close to Manhattan (one stop away on the F train) I was expecting for it to be more... city like.  Instead is reminded me of a cross between Boston, if it were a ghost town, and some towns in Connecticut.  There were huge apartment buildings all interconnected on the outside, with courtyard type things.  It's very hard to describe.  There were heads of decorative cabbage all over the damn place.  I really hate that stuff.  It's just a useless vegetable that someone once decided was pretty.  Sure it can stand up to the cold weather, but who wants to look at it!

I saw my first black squirrels since Jr. High School, over ten years ago.  I really love squirrels.  I know most people don't like rodents, but they are just so darn cute.  I took pictures of them eating french fries.  Even the American squirrels love McDonald's.

J...... and I left Roosevelt Island by tram.  It was my first time on that particular tram.  I think I was on one once in California six or seven years ago.  They are pretty cool.  Travel above everything, see the world from a different perspective.

After we got off the tram, we went to get some lunch and then walked to Bloomingdales.  I'm looking for table linens for the wedding.  I was just curious how much they would cost.  Let's just say that I will not be buying linens from Bloomingdales anytime soon.  I have no interest in spending real money on something that I would almost never use.  Have you noticed that in the everyday world people almost never use tablecloths anymore?  If you sit down to a fancy dinner, one might show up.  If you go to a very expensive restaurant you will almost definitely find one.  Other than that... they're gone.

We ended up sitting in Bloomingdales for a long time, on a nice couch and on one of the famed Eames chairs.  I love those things.  We eventually headed back to Queens and parted ways.  It was a good day, just exhausting.  My legs hurt.  I over stretched yesterday and did a lot of walking today.  We really liked a pair of earrings that would look very nice for the wedding, for the bridesmaids.  They didn't have enough of them though.  Too bad.  Whatcha think?

Now I'm sitting here waiting for the snow to hit.  Combining today and tomorrow we are supposed to get about a foot (more) of snow.  Frankly, I don't really think I have the patience to be snowed in again.  I like being able to open my door in the morning, I'm funny like that.  Anyway, I'll let you know how it goes.  I'm sure there will be pictures involved.

The continuing saga of the wedding...

The centerpieces...  This is what I received from one of the florists I talked to:

"These fifteen (15) table displays will be a combination of florals, water, & candle light, illuminating your venue creating a beautiful romantic atmosphere.  Each table will have four (3) clear glass cylinders with clear crystals lining the bottom of each cylinder.  I will use cylinders in staggered heights of 24inches, 18inches, and 12 inches.  Inside of each cylinder will be a floral display of Two-toned Purple & White Dendrobian orchids.  All of these cylinders will be filled with water submerging all flowers.  We will then place a floating candle in each of these cylinders.  At the base of each arrangement, I will place three (3) small 4 inch cylinder vases at the base of each large cylinder.  These smaller cylinder vases will also be lined with clear crystals, filled with water, & have a floating candle in each one. We will then scatter Dendrobian Orchid heads & Purple rose petals around this display completing your tables design."

I've also got to worry about the bouquets for me and the bridesmaids.  There are ideas floating around.

This is my ideal color scheme.  I just love the way these colors look together.  I think the idea is sophisticated and not boring.  It's not your traditional ivory and red.  I love those colors too, I just think they've been over done.  Also, since my wedding is in August I wanted something more... colorful.  Don't get me wrong, there will be ivory hanging around in places and there will be a touch of gold here and there.  There will be more blue than chartreuse, just because I think that hints of chartreuse are more flattering than too much of the color.  The bridesmaids will be wearing purple dresses in the style of their choosing.  I don't think I can make everybody wear the same exact dress, it just won't work for their different body shapes.  I need to get them all to come with me so I can see how the different dresses will look on their bodies.  My cousin needs to get her dress rather soon because she needs to have it altered, no matter which dress she gets.  She's orthodox, so she needs her collar bone, her elbows, and her knees to be covered.  The other bridesmaids are not going to have the same restrictions.

******

Since I have nothing else to say about my wedding at the moment I will venture to speak about my day instead.  I went to work today.  It doesn't seem like a major feet, I am aware.  I haven't been working steadily for three weeks because the fall session ended before Christmas and the winter session just started this past Sunday.  I worked a little bit in between, but like I said, it wasn't steady.  Not that my work schedule is too steady to begin with.  I only work on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and sometimes Sunday.

I need more work.  I would like to be a writer, a published writer.  In lieu of that I have been looking into publishing/editing.  I graduated from Queens College in 2010 (finally!) with a B.A. in English.  If I go for a M.A., I think it will be in children's literature.  I don't have any very lucrative job ambitions, do I?  Eventually, I would love to own a cafe, but I see that as more of a goal for later life.  If I could just find a full time job now, doing something that involves writing on some level I would be thrilled.

Anyway... My day.  I taught one nursery gym class in the afternoon.  The kids really aren't bad.  Most of them are sweet.  Usually, when you hear about a teacher not liking his or her job, it's not because of the kids, it's because of the system, the administration or the constant testing that has to be done.  I used to want to go into education, teach in a high school, try to help the masses learn how to analyze literature and learn correct grammar through creative writing.  I think it's a good idea and something that is greatly lacking in most high schools.  If children don't read, and they don't write, how exactly are they supposed to learn how to put a sentence together?  How are they supposed to get jobs later in life?  It's just something that bothers me.  Since I can't stand what Bloomberg is doing to our school system, I refuse to be part of it.  Maybe if I move to another state I would go into teaching, but not in NYC.

What I was trying to say about my nursery class, is that it is not the students which bother me.  The head teacher for the class really gets under my skin.  She thinks she is right about everything all the time!  It drives me crazy, especially because she has a tendency to be wrong.  If I am showing the kids how to do something, a new stretch, how to dribble, how to do a forward roll, she takes over.  If I'm showing them how to do something one way, she sneaks up behind me, startles me, and shows them how to do the same thing the wrong way.  She is the ultimate control freak, and trust me, I've met my fair share of control freaks.  Her taking over my class on a semi regular basis is bad enough, but her perfume just makes it that much more torturous.  She wears so much of it!  It's cloying.  It snakes its way up your nose, grabs hold of the hairs in there and pulls, making you sneeze.  It's truly disgusting.

My later two classes which I co-teach with two other people were fine.  Nothing overly stimulating there.  Stretching, flipping, jumping, twirling... it's a gymnastics class.  There is one student who drives me up the wall, M.  She is overactive to say the least and she takes pride in being annoying.  I must say she does annoying very well.  The animal noises, the screaming, the jumping up in your face, it's all just lovely, really.  She and her sister also fart every time they do a flip.  I'm not sure what causes this, but it must be something in their diet.  It's just not something one can ever get used to.  I mean, I have to touch these people, and my face is very often close by to their lower half, especially if they are upside down.  I understand farting is something that cannot be controlled.  I do not blame the children, I just wish I wasn't always the one to receive the farts.  Oh well.

My father picked me up from work, we went to buy cat food, for the cat.  We ended up eating at Mike's Pizzeria for dinner.  I got spaghetti and meatballs.  What can I say, I guess I'm a kid at heart.  It was a good way to end the day.

Now, I am watching Star Trek: First Contact.  After an in depth discussion about Star Trek with my father I was thrilled to find Star Trek on T.V.

Have a good night cyber people, I must return to my geeky ways.

It seems I have managed not to post anything since 2008. That was wrong of me, I apologize. I would love to post everyday and tell you all that I do plan to post everyday, but somehow I don't see myself keeping that promise. Don't give up hope though, it might happen...

Since 2008 I've gotten engaged to Rich, by boyfriend from previous posts. We're getting married this year (THIS YEAR!), in August. The date is coming up fast and there is a lot to do. I've picked the dress, bought the dress, now I'm waiting for the dress. First fitting, WOO!!! You'd think I would be trying to lose weight. I'm not working on that too well yet. It's not like I'm gaining weight, I would like to lose about 15lbs, just fot the occasion. I also need to strengthen my back, get more definition and lose general flab. So far to accomplish all this I've drunk a case of coke over the last two weeks. That doesn't mean that when I'm not home I don't drink coke by the way. I am also eating m&m's. Not the healthiest diet ever. My goal until August is to drastically cut the amount of soda I take in. I'm not going to buy it for the house anymore and I'm going to order seltzer when I go to restaurants as much as I can stand. I'm still going to have an occasional coke, maybe with Chinese food or pizza. For some reason when I eat those two foods I need a coke, NEED, a coke. It cuts the grease I guess. Let's just face it, Coke makes the world go 'round.

I've gotten my dress. Done. Check.

I've picked and booked the venue (Westbury Manor). Done. Check.

I've... That's it. I am still in need of a photographer/videographer, florist, and D.J. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I haven't been looking. I think I've found the D.J. that I want, Bravura Entertainment (http://www.bravuraentertainment.com/main.html). They are really nice and frankly, I just like them. I've seen/met with five different photographers and spoken to many more. The problem is that, as I'm sure you know, photography is the second most expensive thing for your wedding. I don't want to pay that much for a service I am not thrilled with. I have taken photography classes, I know what a good picture is, and I know what style I like. I don't want everything to be posed. I want some spontaneity in the photographs. Sometimes the best pictures aren't planned and I'd like the photographer I choose to believe that as much as I do. I'm not saying that I don't want some posed pictures for my wedding. I want all the traditional stuff, I just would like a more photojournalistic approach. They all tell me they can do this, then they show me their albums. Posed, posed, posed, posed, and posed. I think the best deal I'm going to get is from The Wedding Box in Flushing. They offer a package that includes every service you could want. You can rent your bridal gown from them, the guys can rent their tuxes, 8 hour limo service, make up and hair for the bride and the bridal party, oh, and of course the photography and videography. I actually really like their videography, the photography is ok, it's better than some of the photographers I've seen. It's not exactly what I want, but I'm starting to think what I want doesn't really exist. I don't want to take part of all their services, but I wouldn't mind getting a trial for the hair and make up.

As far as the florist goes... I am not especially into flowers, but I'd still like a nice arrangement. My colors are: chartreuse, a darkish purple (not completely sure on the shade yet), and royal blue. My flowers will reflect that. I like the look of submergeable flowers, orchids for the most part.

I'll talk more about my arrangement later. It's actually time for me to go to bed. I've forgotten how much I enjoy writing in my blog. I'll be sure to keep it up.

To feel as if life is worth living we must have a few key items. We must have our health, a roof over our heads, enough food in our stomachs, and love. For some people this might not be enough. Some of us cannot survive without ambition, and drive, and success. Personally, I think think these things come second.

I have an aunt that says that for a woman marriage is the most important thing in the world, that no woman can be happy without a man. I think this is ridiculous. Marriage is important, to both sexes, but it is not the end all and be all to life. Love and marriage are not even synonymous with each other. Two people can happily be together for years without any further commitment from one another. I firmly believe this, as long as the two people do strongly love each other. If that love isn't there, then they shouldn't bother with the commitment to begin with. The only reason people need that endorsement of their love, is because they do not trust each other. Not that I blame them. Trust has to be earned, it should not be freely given. We all do little things in out daily lives that make others question our behavior. We are innately curious creatures, prone to asking each other, "why?" when we should instead leave well enough alone.

It's amazing actually that there are people out there that manage to stay in long term relationships whether it's with a friend, a parent, or a beau (boo for you modernists). We are taught at such a young age that we cannot trust, how do we, or some of us anyway, overcome this?

I think I somehow missed my point. What makes life worth living? I guess it's something different for everyone. So what makes me happy? I enjoy security and stability in my life. Surprises make me nervous, depending of course on the level of the surprise. I do not enjoy change all that much, in fact, mostly, I downright hate it. I like spending time with my friends, and my boyfriend, even though as far as I am concerned this does not happen often enough. I enjoy planning my future. I picture myself with my loved ones in my apartment sitting on the Lancaster couch from Restoration Hardware (I love that damn couch!). I enjoy writing, and making up stupid meaningless little stories. I do enjoy my time spent alone as well, really. I find thinking fun. I actually think one of my greatest joys in life comes from planning. Planning parties, planning for the far future, the near future, meals to cook. If I can plan for it, I'll try to do it. I like the planning more than the events themselves. Spontaneity is good too, up to a point. When I cannot guess what's going to happen in the future, I get nervous. I never know what's going to happen for sure, none of us do. Sometimes though we can have an idea. When the idea suddenly is changed on us though... I find it disconcerting.

Am I happy? I have my health (as far as I know), I have a roof over my head, I have enough to eat, and at least I think I have love. My life should be worth living. I do not want to give it up, but no, at the moment I am not happy. I am confused. I feel hurt and somewhat betrayed. I'm angry. I am not always right, but I am not always wrong either. I do not have a degree in psychology, I don't even have a degree in English yet, but I am not an idiot. There are some things in life that we cannot control, sometimes, most of the time, our happiness is among them. What we can control, we should hang on to though. We will not always be happy in our lives, and sometimes we have to make a big change in order to achieve that happiness, but most of the time we have to muddle through and find happiness in another area of our lives.

That's life. Why can't people accept that?

So I haven't blogged in a while. There's a shock, right? Haha! Nothing new much been going on. I'm still going to work and school. At the moment I'm in the process of getting sick. I haven't gotten the flu yet this year, when everybody around me has, maybe it's about time.

Anyway, since my last post, nothing bad happened. No life or death decisions to make. Choices are a high and mighty thing to speculate about when you don't actually have any to make, but when faced with an actual important decision... you might just find that you'll surprise yourself.

So this past Sunday were a couple of crazy birthday parties. The kids were pretty good, I was just lacking in staff. Nobody likes to go in the water. Honestly, I don't blame them. This little fact just makes my life a little more difficult. It worked out all right though in the end. We got to keep half an ice cream cake and three pizzas. Always a good thing. Unfortunately, I didn't get to eat any of it. I'm not sure where the pizzas went, but the cake ended up of the floor. Yes, someone knocked it on the floor. Whatever.

So, I mentioned I'm still in school. I've been wondering when I'm going to be finished already. I'm a junior, so you'd automatically assume that I'd be done in about a year, right? Wrong. I'm have about 70 credits, I need 120. Since I finished almost all of my liberal arts requirements, I just need to concentrate on my major. I'm an English major. Since I can't take four or five English classes at one time without going crazy, I'm planning on being there forever. Not to mention I'm probably going to go for my masters afterwards... So yeah, I plan to be in school for the next ten years. Now that might be an over exaggeration, but it'll be something like that.

So, does anybody have any ideas for me?

Thursday, February 28, 2008

What does one do when they have a problem and cannot possibly make a good decision? There sometimes are the right decisions and sometimes there really aren't any. People do the best they can with the circumstances they are given. Do they always handle themselves with grace and dignity along the way? No. As long as they make it to the end of the day, whether their heads are held high or not... it's all the matters.

There is nothing easy in life. Try to stay young and carefree as long as you can.

Sunday, February 17, 2008

Ok, I've got nothing to say. I'm just proud of myself for remembering my password. I have so many passwords for so many different things, that I tend to have to go through a bunch before I hit the right one for the program I am trying to use.

Anyway, I had a very long day. Last night I did not try to even go to sleep until about 5:30am. I woke up at 9:00am and left the house at 9:15. Ain't I fast? Anyway, I went to work. Dealing with five year old kids early in the morning is just too much. Crying, screaming brats. Don't get the idea that I don't like kids, I do, but thirty kids all yealling in the morning is... a bit too much to deal with. At the end of the party, which by the way lasted an extra forty five minutes, they gave out goody bags. You're thinking this is a good thing. But no. It depends what is in these goody bags. In these, there were the worst possible thing to give to kids. WHISTLES! Can you believe it!? They walk up behind you, whistle in your ear, and run away laughing. It's just... GREAT!

So I left forty five minutes late, with a pounding headache. I was picked up by my stepfather and stepbrother along with my mother. We all were going to the American Museum on Natural History. I don't know about you, but there are certain exhibits there I find very depressing. People went hunting at some point, shot some animals, brought them back to America, and had people stuff them, to make them look alive again. I personally am an animal lover, and find this very hard to take. It depressed me greatly. I was also totally exhausted, and starving. We had these citi passes that were supposed to get us into all the shows. However, all but two were sold out. We chose to see the Planetarium show. I was so tired that as soon as the voice came over the loud speaker (Robert Redford), I fell asleep. I actually did want to see the show. Did I mention that I hadn't eaten all day.

After walking around the museum for a few hours we were all about to pass out. We finally ate dinner. It was ehh. We then went back to FH and then to Starbucks.

Anyway now I'm home and still quite exhausted..... going away now...

So my two year anniversary with my boyfriend is coming up on Sunday. I think that's a pretty long time. It is for me anyway, and him also. We love each other very much. I'm a pretty cynical person, so that's a big deal for me. We're recreating our first date on Sunday. We tried doing that last year, but somehow it didn't work. We went to the city with a friend to see an art exhibit, and then to Jekyll and Hyde's. It's an... interesting restaurant. By the time we got back to my house it was rather late and we weren't hungry. We didn't even start thinking about food until at least 9pm. To make a long story short the restaurant was closed by the time we got there. We ended up eating at another nice restaurant, but it just wasn't the same. I ended up crying at the table. I don't even know why, exactly, it just was not what it was supposed to be. This year I'm actually thinking about making reservations. I don't usually bother doing that, but it might give us the incentive to get there somehow. Hehe. We'll get all dressed up, have a night on the town, so to speak. The problem with our anniversary is its proximity to Valentines Day.

First of all I must start by saying that I think VD is a bunch of bull shit. I think it's a meaningless Hallmark holiday. That being said, I do actually want to see my boyfriend on that day. I don't really expect him to get me anything, except maybe a rose, but I want to see him. Problem is, he has class that night, so unless I hang around campus for an extra hour or so, I'm not gonna see him, unless... all you bloggers out there convince him to come see me after class :- P

Anyway, I'm going to sleep. Later people of blog land.

Thursday, December 20, 2007

Ok, so I know I haven't posted in... well, almost 3 months. I've been really busy with school. Actually, I think I've gotten over the blogging thing. At least perhaps until I have something interesting to say. Maybe I should delete my blog, it's not like anybody reads it. *shrug*

I don't like deleting things, it's a neurosis I guess. Things that I start, that are mine, I'm very protective over. If I make something, I don't like giving it away, or destroying it. You might be asking, what can this possibly correspond to except this blog. Well, you'd be surprised.

Firstly, there's term paper's. You know those websites that sell term paper's? Well, I run one... Ok, I don't. But it was a fun thought. Anyway, this hasn't come up in a while. Maybe I've mosty gotten over it, or perhaps, I just haven't created anything in a while. The last time I remember this happening is... maybe 13 years ago. I gave my mother's ex boyfriend an old doll of mine... I was miserable until he gave it back. Actually, that took a lot of convincing on the boyfriend's part, he was kind of a baby. My mother had to yell at him to get him to give it back.

Anyway, my point is that, I don't think I could give up my blog so easily. Maybe I'll even start writing in this thing again...

Wednesday, September 26, 2007

OK, I know I haven't posted in a while. This blog started out as a way for me to keep up my writing skills... Not sure how much it's helped actually. I haven't written in a while, nothing really exciting going on with me. Started school. Fun, fun, fun. What more is there to say?

I'm actually sitting here waiting for Rich to call. I'm tired, not even sure from what. I have school tomorrow, I'm acutally contemplating not going. Nothing major is going on, but if I miss a math class, I probably won't be able to keep up anymore. I'll probably go, late maybe. I don't want to go to my first class. I actually enjoy it, but we had to do this really stupid assignment, which I didn't do as of yet. I'll probably do it before I go to sleep. I'm rambling.

So, L___ is in town. She's been here for about a month actually, she's leaving this coming Tuesday. We didn't do anything major, really we didn't do anything much at all. She's going to a concert with D___ on Friday night. She doesn't seem to remember that she was invited to my house for dinner. Just as well, I'm not in the mood to entertain people, I'd rather be entertained. I have tickets to a comedy club. Rich and I might go Saturday, we'll see. He's probably going to some sort of meeting in the morning, so why would he want to go back to the city a few hours later. Maybe the following weekend.

I have no idea what I'm saying anymore, my brain is mush. I'm so out of it. Also, I'm quite thirsty. Maybe I should go upstairs and fill up my water bottle, hmm... Such a dilemma, to stay put, or to go upstairs, that is the question.

Blah, blah, blah. Someone tell me something interesting.

Saturday, August 04, 2007

I haven't written in my blog in about two months. I'm not sure why exactly. I guess I haven't had that much to say. I've just been working for the summer. same place different job. I haven't worked the Sports Clinic in about five years. Actually, as far as enjoying my job goes, I prefer the art department during the summer. It's air conditioned and I don't have to yell all the time. The gym is fun though. I get to hang out with my friends (just not the same ones I'd be with if I were in the art department), I get to play games with the kids, and I even get to go swimming with them! Wait. That's all the stuff I don't like about my job. It's more work, it's harder, and there's more responsibility, sort of. I don't mind any of that, I would just like to relax once in a while during the summer.

I was supposed to go away with Rich this past week. We had planned to go to Pennsylvania. To visit the Amish country and then to take a little excursion to Hershey Park. I've never been to either of those places. Well, we didn't get to go. I got sick at the wrong time. I thought it was just my period, but it turned out to br a stomach virus or a flu of some sort. I always get sick at least once a summer, but did it really have to happen now? Anyway, so we didn't go away. There really is no other time to go, so I'm stuck here for the remainder of the summer. Maybe when Liat comes to visit, I'll go away with her. The time for Rich and me is over.

So, for the past week, I've been sitting around, not doing much of anything except throwing up. Until Thursday night anyway. Thursday I went out with all my co-workers to dinner at TGI Friday's. We had fun, then separated. I ended up going to get ice cream with three of them after dinner. It was fun, a good first night back out in the world. Yesterday, I could've gone to work, but chose not to. I just went in eventually to pick up my paycheck. I ended up leaving the Y with D_______. We walked her daughter home and then she and I went to Marshall's and Target. I've never been to Marshall's. I like it! Lol. I got a bag. My second bag of the summer. This one however only cost about $25.00. The other one cost $135.00, on sale. So, I think I did pretty well there lol. OK, at Target D_______ was trying to find party favors for her daughter's birthday party on Sunday. So, I helped her. Since I love that stuff, and school supplies also, I had a good time. The only problem was that the shoes I was wearing, were really starting to hurt. So I ended u buying a pair of flip flops for $2.99. I think that was a pretty good buy. They're very comfortable.

After the shopping, D_______ and I went our separate ways. She went home, and I went to my dad's house to hang out with my little Daniel cat. My father didn't get home from upstate until after 12:00am. Danny was alone all day, so he was happy to see me. I got a slice of pizza and ate it, then I vegged out for an hour or so until my boyfriend called. We've been fighting a lot lately, so we were talking very carefully on the phone.

Anyway, my father got home eventually, then took me home.

The only other news I have to report is that my grandmother was taken to the hospital yesterday. She has pneumonia and can't breathe on her own. She's been intubated. For those of you who don't know what that means... They put a tube down her throat to help her breathe. We don't know if they will ever be able to take the tube out. She's 99 with dementia. I wish they would just let her go, stop making her suffer. *Sigh*.

I'm a horrible person. I was walking around this afternoon. I seem to be in the midst of a allergy attack. It's a little odd since I don't usually have allergies at all. Anyway, I was carrying some bags because as I walking around I bought some food. I was walking home, when these two people came running out of their house carrying what looked to be an unconscious child. He was blue in the face. There was another person standing there, a passerby, she was calling 911.

I just walked away. I don't know the etiquette for these things. I mean, there was nothing I could do, I don't know CPR and 911 was already being called. I still feel like I did something morally wrong by just walking away. What could I have done? I have no idea. Was I supposed to try to offer support to hyspterical people I don't know?

What I do know is that I will never get the image of the suffocating child out my head. It was the singularly most disturbing thing I have wittnesed in my life.

I'm disgusting.
Ok, back to the old mac. I'm not sure what I was so excited about last time. I mean, sure it's nice to be able to change my colors and what not, but really, who cares. This is a blog. This is not myspace, or facebook, or whatever else is centered more on graphics. This blog, as I have birthed it, has been about writing. I can post whatever I want in terms of writing with this lovely computer, hereby known as mac (I am aware of the un-originality of this just so you know, but I like it). So mac and I are back again writing for... Ok, I haven't yet figured that out yet. For fun I guess, because I like writing. I'll just leave it at that.

So, since last I wrote I went to the beach. I played miniature with Rich, he won of course. He always wins. I'm not sure i've ever won at anything actually. I don't just mean games with Rich, just in general. I mean I've won awards at school, but I guess I mean game wise. Anyway, I'm rambling. So, we went to the beach, played mini golf, lay on the beach for a while and then... I'm trying to remember what we did and also when we did it. I know we had dinner at Rich's house two nights, and I made dinner one night. I don't think we went out at all that weekend, not for dinner anyway. We went to Oasis cafe I think on the same night we went to the beach. I know I made lemon chicken (very good by the way) on Monday evening. We ate Rich's house on Sunday night, that was steak night. It was very very good. I think I'm officially done with that weekend. I'll talk to Rich, maybe he can clear up my memory lol.

Anyway, the following weekend, or this past one if that's what you'd like to call it, Rich went back to Gettysburg PA to build some fences on the battle field. I'm not sure I get it exactly, you're just gonna have to ask Rich about that. Anyway, Friday night I ate at home with my mom and Harold. I just fell asleep watching TV eventually. Saturday, I sat around not doing much of anything until the afternoon. Then I went to Austin St. and tried to do some chores (stupid Verizon stores). I ended up getting picked up by my mom, and we went shopping. Sunday, a cousin of mine, of some degree, had a birthday party. It was her 95th. So my mom, Harold, my cousin Bernard and his mom all went together. The shopping my mom and I had done was for this birthday party. I mean surrounded my relatives you haven't seen in years and years, you gotta look good, no? So, that lasted longer than we thought it would. We didn't get home until maybe 6:30. I couldn't really eat anything at the party, not my kind of food. So, when we got home I made a multi cheese baked ziti. I had half and my mother ate the other half. I finally just fell asleep.

Monday was pretty much normal. Rich came home that day. I didn't see him though, he was too tired and achy (no more fences!). Later in the day I went to work. Apparently, there was a half day for students, so there were only three students per class. Tuesday, was just Tuesday. I didn't do much of anything. Wednesday was going pretty much the same as Tuesday... until the mail came.

I got into Queens College!!! After sharing my news with everyone I could think of via phone, or text message, I walked to my father's house. I ended up spending the day completely alone. My father didn't get home until about 11:30pm. He just took me home when he got back. So that was my Tuesday. Wednesday I spent a lot of time on the phone with Rich. I was in a lot of pain, still am kinda. I have my period. Anyway, I walked to my dad's house, we had dinner (pizza), and then Rich came over. We hung around my dad's house for a while then he took me to a cafe. After that he had to go home. He's working today, so he had to wake up early.

Today, I woke up late since I couldn't fall asleep last night. Then my dad picked me up and we went food shopping. He's going away for the next few days, so I'm house and cat sitting. I'm not working today because it's Brooklyn/Queens Day. Please don't ask me to explain that, I can't. So, all it means to me, is that I don't have work today and that all the schools in Brooklyn/Queens are closed to students today as well. Later I might see an old friend, might not. Who knows? I might see Rich, might not. I will probably just go to sleep and curl up with my cat.

So, that's been my life for the past week-ish. I will continue to keep you updated, because I know you all care so much.

So, anyway, this is my first time blogging from a computer other than my own. I'm on my boyfriend's laptop... which is a PC... whereas I usually am on my laptop... which is a Mac. There are more functions over here. I love Macs. They are easier to use, they almost never get viruses, and are just so much adarn cuter than PC's. However, since nothing, or next to nothing is specifically written for us Apple people, everything works better on PC's! It's just so darn unfair... waaaa!!!

Anyway, now that I've comandeered someone else's computer... I see things such as "Edit HTML," diiferent setting in the compose mode (such as: center, align left...). I see the option of making my text a different color, I see the option to use italic and bold font! I see differnt fonts!!! I seem to be in blogging heaven! I've neer before figured out how people do the things they do with their blogs. Now it all makes sense... they aren't Mac users!

Ok, let me ue some of this fancy stuff I didn't know was here. Oh! Blue!!! Look, I'm blue and italic!! Woohoo!! Maybe some red to show how angry I am that Mac users don't have any blogging options on them! Some purple to show that, I have in fact calmed down a bit. If I had any pictures on this compter I would put them in my blog now... I can just imagine how much easier it would be on this here PC.

Ok, so for the moment, I am done ranting at the injustice of the world. I will tell you instead that I saw Shrek the Third yesterday. It was hilarious! Ok, maybe it wasn't the singularly most funny thing I have seen in my life, but it was pretty damn good! Rich and I saw the 10:45 showing. We expected it to be crowded, full of loud teenagers howling at the screen. Quite the opposite in fact, we were the only ones there! Ok, well it didn't stay that way. Once the movie started there were a few stragglers who came in... maybe four or five couples. It's really too bad though, I wouldn't have minded having the whole theater just for Rich and myself. Actually, that would have been really cool. It would of been like having rented out the space for the duration of the movie. I think theater do that.. don't they? Don't you think it would been nice having only paid $20 for the tickets to have entire place to yourself? Well, I do.

So, after the movie Rich and I went back to his house. Rich has been pretty much been writing papers straight for six weeks, even eighty seven pages in two days, and the whole ordeal just finished this past Thursday. So he is totally and utterly exhausted. It's also crazy hot here, not to mention humid. So... I don't know what I can say, Rich went to bed. He gave me a book to read, but I really wasn't in the mood. So, I stuck my ipod in my ears and just lay down. It was quite hot in Rich's room, getting progressively hotter as morning approached. So, I don't think anyone in the house slept too well.

Anyway, I'm going to go now give up the wonder of the PC. Gotta go eat something!

So, I didn't get a summer job today. I know that needs more explination, but honestly I'm not in the mood right now. I'm too tired. Not sure why I'm writing actually. I got nothing to say.

My boyfriend is busy killing himself with work this week. He's writing two papers. One due on Wednesday and one due on Thursday. He's killing himself because he refuses to sleep. He's basically just working straight through. Poor baby. I've got to remember not to get mad at him if, when, he fallls asleep early this Friday. He's been working so hard. I would like to do anything I can to make him have a good weekend. I really do love him.

Anyway, I have nothing else to say, so I'm going to go now.

Monday, May 21, 2007

So, yes it was my birthday. Thank you for the birthday wishes Vinny my blog's only commentator lol.

So, that evening I went to dinner with my mother, step dad, father, his girlfriend, and my boyfriend. We went to a fancy Italian restaurant, had dinner. It was nice. That was pretty much it for my birthday. My boyfriend and I wanted to go out later, just us, but we were just too tired. I don't even remember what we ended up doing we were so tired.

Saturday, we were also totally out of it. We went to have lunch down the block at a nice cafe. After we just went back to my house. We hung around and then he took me to dinner at this nice pan asian restaurant in his area. Then he was all sweet and got me an ice cream cake. He went home around 1:30am and that was it for my birthday.

Sunday, I worked 9:00-4:30. Four birthday parties back to back. I'm still recovering from that. Hectic mania! I can't wait for this weekend. Actually, it's not like I'm doing much the rest of the week. I have work on Friday and Sunday, but I have off Thursday and next Monday because of a Jewish holiday and Memorial Day. So, I should be cleaning my room or something, but because I don't feel especially well, I'll probably just lie around all day.

I'm not very exciting, I know. Meanwhile I have to tell you that my father has stolen my cat. My cat clings to him in the most uncat like way. I mean seriously the way he adores my dad is just agonizing to watch. I miss my little baby. I just always thought that I would take him back when I moved in with Rich, or into my own place. I don't think I can though. I mean I've been telling my father for years, since his cat died, that he needed another one. Now that he's got mine, I don't think he's going to give him up. Besides, it would probably be best for Danny if he stayed with my dad. I guess I could get another cat, and I'm sure I will... But I really love Danny. I keep losing my cats. The first kitten died of feline leukemia. Her name was Deanna. I really miss her sometimes. Then I got Danny about a year later. He's almost 5 now. He would have always live with me if it wasn't for the construction on my house. He had to move in with my dad. He's been there now for over a year. I can't just uproot him. He made a life there. I know that sounds crazy, because he's a cat, but it's true. My cat is totally in love with him. It's disgusting. This feline form of gushing, it's just unprecedented. Cats just don't gush, except over my father. They all love him. I don't get it. He has this animal, and I mean animal, magnetism. It's crazy. So, I guess I have to say good bye to Danny. He is no longer my kitten. I really miss him. One of the reasons I've been so lonely is because he's not here anymore. I guess there's really nothing I can do about it. I can't afford him anyway.

Well, now I've depressed myself, so I'm going to go. Laterz people, I'm outtie!

Sunday, May 13, 2007

Ok, I'm writing again. I seem to feel that keeping the world updated on my current life circumstances is not as important as I used to think it was. I no longer think I have any knowledge to impart on the world, not at the moment anyway. All I ever wrote about is time spent with my boyfriend. I'm not saying that time spent with him is not important, because it most certainly is. My time with him is the happiest that I ever am. I love being with him, and I love spending time with him. If I could do it, I would spend every waking hour with him. Obviously I can't do that. I'm not even sure if I examined it closely, that it would be a good idea. I mean I personally don't think that couples should be together all the time. I think that it would put too much stress on the relationship. Fights would pop up all the time, fights about nothing. Fights about just being together 24/7.

Just at this point in my life, I am not incredibly happy. I am only happy when I am with my boyfriend. My best friend (other than my boyfriend) is still living in another country, and I'm not even sure she is ever coming back for good. I'm not in school, I'm only working three times, maybe four times a week. I sit home alone the majority of the time. I'm not always miserable, but I'm not unduly happy all the time either. Not that I should be. I mean who is? There's just something in my live missing and I'm not too sure what it is. I need to move on with my life, and this year it's been pretty stagnant. I haven't really looked for another job, even though I kept saying I was going to. I guess I'm scared to change my ways. I've been working there so long... It's the only place I've ever worked. I was never a big fan of change.

I don't know. All I know is that something's got to change. It will too. I'm going back to school by hook or by crook next semester. I'm not sure where I'm going to be going, but I will be somewhere. I will go back to community college if I have to, but I need to get my life, my adult life started already. I'm going to be majoring in English, so maybe that writing in my blog will improve. :- D.

Anyway, I'm going to go further contemplate my life.... Or maybe I'll just watch TV. Either way... Laterz pople!!

Tuesday, April 24, 2007

Ok, I know I haven't written in a while. I guess I should apologize, but I honestly don't know who I'd be apologizing to. I mean since nobody ever comments my blog, how should I know if there's anybody but me who's reading it?

I'm not going to bother filling you in on every weekend since I last wrote. I mean, I can't remember the details and well, what's the point of rehashing? So, I'll stick to this past weekend. I went to Rich's house Friday night, and we had dinner with his entire immediate family. There was a baseball game on, Yankees vs. Red Sox. The whole family is totally deranged about baseball. I mean, it was on in the background during dinner, then all of the sudden Alex Rodriguez hits a home run and almost all the men at the table jumped up and ran for the TV. I have never seen Rich's father so excited about something before, never seen him jump up and run before. It was cute. So that was Friday night. Saturday, Rich planned to do some work. He's writing a paper for one of his classes. Somehow he never got around to it. I can't even tell you what was going on. We woke up around 10:00AM. We got dressed, went downstairs, Rich had breakfast. His brother and sister in law had breakfast. We all talked for a little bit. Then his brother walked his wife to the train station. In the time he was gone, Rich and I just hung around and talked. Some serious stuff, some nothing stuff. You know how conversations go. While we were talking his parent's got home from work. His brother was still not back from the train station, and it had been over and hour since he had left. Rich's mom thought something had happened to him, so understandably she was quite upset. When he finally made it back, there was a slightly hysterical reunion, which I thought was quite sweet. So, when we were all there, we all helped Rich's dad take the hard top off his car. He has a convertible, so there's the hard roof and the soft roof. For the winter the hard roof is protecting against snow and stuff. I guess for the spring summer, it's not necessary. That's really all I know about it.

So after the excitement of the car stuff, we went back inside and had lunch. There was bagels and lox. I had a grilled cheese bagel. After lunch, Rich went downstairs to check about job fair stuff (I'll explain more about that next time I write). So he was doing that stuff, while his brother showed us pictures he took from the UAE. Pretty nice pictures. Anyway, Rich was gone a while, so I went to go find him. We ended up getting into a fight. I'm not going into that though. So, it was about 4:00PM. Rich had told me he would stop working by three, meanwhile, he hadn't even started and it was already four. So, we went outside to his yard. He took his books, and I took mine. We were still mad at each other. So, we weren't doing much reading, either of us. We got up and I asked Rich to teach me how to punch. He used to take karate, and apparently he was very good. So he was trying to teach me how to punch. So, I was standing there punching the palms of his hands. It's certainly fun to punch when you need to get aggression out. And, well, if you're punching the person who aggravated you to begin with... You get the idea. So we got our aggressions out. I was trying to knock him down, he was running for me. I guess we were sort of rough housing. Hehe, I've never done that before. Anyway, when we were done with that, we talked everything out. Later, we went to dinner at Tofu, a nice Chinese/Japanese restaurant in Bayside. We shared some cold noodles in sesame sauce. We each got soup, and we sort of shared our main dishes (Chicken Lo mein, and Chicken with peanuts). After that, we went to Barnes & Noble. I got a book I've been looking for, for a while. Then we just went back to my house. We watched a little TV and Rich went home.

Sunday, I had work. Two tiny tumbler birthday parties. The kids were cute, and we got tips from both parties, so that was good. After work I went to my dad's house and visited my cat (my dad wasn't there). My mom picked me up around 5:30 and we went to visit my grandparents. After that we went to The Family Restaurant. My mom told me she was going to Yale for four days. Her school sent her there. We just went home after that. My weekend was over.

Monday, I went to work, but couldn't stay with the class for more than five minutes at a time. I had to keep going to the bathroom. I have a UTI. I don't recommend them. Not so much fun. Now, it's Tuesday and I still have my UTI and am sitting here near the bathroom for the day. I'm trying to decide if I should try walking to my dad's house later. Too bad I don't have a port-a-potty to take along with me.

So, there is the update on my life. Hope you enjoyed! Bye people.

i know i haven't written in a while, and i will, i promise. however, it will not be right now. right now, i don't seem to be able to capitalize. laterz

Monday, March 26, 2007

So, since last I wrote some things have happened. First of all, I still need to get to Macy's. I'm still looking for pants that don't have holes in the crotch... I can't quite figure out why their are holes there to begin with actually, hehe.

So, not this past weekend, but the one before (3/17/07) my mom and stepdad met Rich's parents, for the first time. I think the whole thing went pretty well. They seemed to get along. I don't really have very much else to say about that.

I went to my old college last Wednesday and picked up a copy of my transcript. I sent in my application for college on Thursday. So, now I'm just waiting to see what happens.

This past weekend (3/24/07) my boyfriend and I recreated our first date. We haven't had time to since our anniversary (2/3). So, we went to the same Japanese restaurant (I ordered the same thing, he didn't), and after that we went to the local pool hall. We both sincerely suck. That's ok though, we still have fun. Earlier in the day, we were so tired we could barely move. I made peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches for lunch and then we just fell asleep :- P. When we finally made it out of the house we went to this new mall in a neighboring town. It was actually a very nice place, for a mall. It is an outdoor mall and had different stores in it than most places near here. I pre-ordered Harry Potter #7 at Borders, hehe. It was just a good place to walk around. The only downside is that it's right across from a cemetary, so that's kind of depressing.

We had planned to go see a movie before dinner, but since we didn't start out of the house until after 4PM... yeah, it didn't happen.

Next week, hopefully, my boyfriend and I are going to go away. Just to MA, probably Boston. We both just need to get away. Hopefully next time we go away, it can be a little farther. I need a better job first, then I can pay. I kind of want to go to England, and Italy, and France. Although, right now, I would gladly settle for Florida, hehe.

Anyway, I'll write more later. Tell me something you people out there.

Thursday, March 15, 2007

I think I've calmed down a bit since my last ranting blog post. I still want all the things I mentioned before, but not in a "I'll die if I can't get it" kind of way. At some point this week, I'm going to try to put together some outfit, a nice one. Next week I think I'm going to apply for jobs in Bloomingdales, Saks, and maybe Lord & Taylor. Just thinking of it makes me nervous. I've only ever worked at my current place of employment. Different departments, different bosses, but still the same place with me basically doing the same thing. I've never done anything else. I don't really have any other skills. I mean, I work with people. That's a skill that comes in pretty handy just about anywhere, no matter what you're doing. So, there's that. I guess other than that, you're just trained on the job. I mean, I can be a perfume girl. It's not something I ever aspired to be, but I can do it. And I can give people makeovers, clothes wise, and even make up. So, it's not like I have no skills that a department store might want. I don't know, just nervous I guess.

Anyway, I do still want to get out of town. I think during Pesach (or spring break if you prefer), I'm gonig away with my boyfriend. I mean we aren't going anywhere warm or anything. I think we're going to Boston. However, at least we're getting out of town. Unfortunately, classes at work, end next week. I'm not exactly sure when Pesach is, but I know it's early April. Basically, I'm going to be totally broke for a month or more. I'm so glad. I guess if I beg my mother, she'll probably help me out a little bit. I hate begging my mother for money.

Looking at the silver lining... I get to go away with my boyfriend. We really need to spend some time alone together. He's been really busy lately, and I just want to be with him. I love him. He wants to be with me too by the way. I'm not stalking him. I don't even want to do all the historical things, I mean I do, I am interested. I just want to hang out and relax. You think I should still look for a job before I go away? I mean I could just tell them I'm not available until after I come back. I guess Rich and I will have to set the dates for us going and coming back. Maybe we'll figure it out this weekend.

I think I will end this blog since I am starting to ramble again. Ok people, talk to you all later!

(Just a reminder, I can't do spell check with this new version of blogger, so please, don't mind the typos, thanks)

Saturday, March 10, 2007

People are really annoying me lately. I really need to get out of this town. I need to do something with my life. At least I need to get away for a little while. I haven't been out of town since the summer, when I went to Boston with Rich. I know that isn't exactly the longest I or others have been without a vacation. However, it's really time I get out of here. I don't even really care where I go... Although, If I were to be honest about it, I'd like to go somewhere warm. Somewhere where I don't really have to think about anything. I guess I want to go some place like Florida. It's too expansive though. I'm trying to save for a car. That means I can't really have anything else until I get a car. I haven't bought any clothes this winter. I bought one pair of shoes, but I needed them for an occasion. I've looked like crap all winter, and fall for that matter. I need to get my hair dyed. I need to get a hair cut while I'm at it. I sort of wish I came from a wealthy family, so that my parents could really support me. I mean, they put a roof over my head, and my father generally feeds me four times a week. But except for medical bills... I pretty much pay for everything I need while still trying to save for a car. I buy my own books, I buy my own clothes (when I get them), I pay for my own lunch, when I eat it. When I make dinner at home, I pay for all the seperate ingredients. I know it doesn't sound all that bad, but it really is. I work, but it's not like I make a hell of a lot of money. I generally make less than $200 a month. That works out fine, if nothing comes up, like people's birthdays, and also if I'm not trying to save for a car. My cat isn't even currently living with me. There are a few reasons for this, but one of the main reasons is that I honestly can't afford having a boyfriend and a cat. When I go out with my boyfriend, I don't expect him to pay for everything all the time. I pay for things also. So what ends up happening is that I spend like $40 a week on the two of us, mostly just for food. I used to spend $40 a week on the cat. So, that's how I can't afford both a boyfriend and my cat.

I really need another job. I don't even know where to look though. I don't especially want to work in retail, but I think I'm going to have to. Unless something else comes along, and why would it? Life just doesn't give you opportunities, you have to go out and get them. I can't really get anywhere, since I don't have a car... and since I don't have a car, I can't really get anywhere... It's my favorite little paradox. I'm probably going to end up applying for a job in the city. A big store I think... Macy's... and maybe Bloomingdales, we'll see. Maybe I'll apply to a Barnes&Noble, but I seriously don't want to stack and sort books. If I can find a job somewhere that involves writing in some way, that would be great. Somehow though, I don't see that happening. I guess when I go back to school, I'll have less time to worry about stuff, and also an excuse why I don't have another job....

I need to get another job before I go back to school, before the summer also. I need the money. I need to be able to save some money so that I can get a car and get to school... Also, I need the money once I have the car, so that I can pay for gas. Life should not be based around money. Seriously, we should find another way.

Far be it for me to compare life to Star Trek, but they figured out how to abolish the need for money, and we should seriously consider figuring out how to do that.

I think I'm done rambling now. But who knows, maybe I'll be back later....

Thursday, March 08, 2007

My day, for me anyway, was actually pretty full today. It started later than I had intended because for some reason last night, I couldn't fall asleep. Anyway, after my boyfriend called me, around 11:30AM, I got out of bed and started my day. First I had a bowl of Cocoa Pebbles. Now, I am not one for sugary cereal, at least not in the morning, but sue me, I wanted a sugar rush. So, after eating, I lay in bed for a while (that's where I ate by the way). Then I got on my computer and started searching for information. You see, I'm trying to re-apply to college. In doing this I hope to basically start my professional life. Isn't that why most people go to college? Anyway, in order to apply to other colleges, I have to collect my transcripts from all my secondary schools, starting with high school. So, on Monday, I went back to high school and ordered that transcript, I'm still waiting for it. Today, I went to my colleges web page and printed out a "request of official transcript" form. I filled it out, and wrote out a check for the college. Isn't it nice that I have to pay them to release something that in essence is mine? Having filled out all this information, I called my boyfriend to ask him a question. Somehow, we ended up being on the phone for about forty five minutes. After that conversation, I got myself dressed, and went to the city. It takes me about an hour to get to school, which really isn't all that bad considering I have to leave one town and go into another. It's why I went to that school to begin with. Anyway, my point is that it took me just under an hour to get there. The business I had to do there, took all of five minutes, tops. I had printed and filled the form out at home, I had already written out the check. All I had to do was wait for the woman behind the desk to give me recipt. So, I went home. Now that is annoying. I wish I had some other sort of thing to do in that part of the city, but I didn't. I was actually considering going to Starbucks just so that I would be there longer. However, I decided it was a silly way to waste money. That's the same reason I didn't go to Bloomingdales, hehe.

After returning to Queens, I went to my dad's house. We ordered a pizza, half sausage, half regular. We watched TV and I think I fell asleep for about a half hour. Later, after his class, my boyfriend came over to visit. He took me home from my dad's house and we jsut hung around and talked for a little while. Then he went home. I'm not seeing him until Saturday this week, and I miss him.

*sigh* I can't wait for us to start our lives together. I don't even mean marriage, I just mean living together. Probably won't happen for at least three years, but I can still think about it... and about decorating the apartment, right? That's not so weird is it? :- D

Monday, March 05, 2007

So, my weekend was as follows: Friday evening my boyfriend picked me up. We went back to his house and had dinner with his parents and his brother and his wife. Then we sat around talking for a while. Rich's brother and sister in law went home and his parents went to bed. Rich and I talked and watched TV before going to sleep. Saturday, we were in no rush to get out of the house. We ate breakfast, watched TV, talked. After Rich's parent's got home, Rich and I went out. We went to the mall to search for a birthday present for my father. His birthday, is on Monday. We shoppped a little, then we has a little luch, then we shopped a little more. We went back to Rich's house from the mall, and his dad gave me a strep test. Ya see, I've had the flu for the past week. I could barely move. Then it seemed to be going away by Thursday. However, it left me with a sore throat. I have a history of strep, and even though I havent had it in a couple of years, I just wanted to make sure. So Thursday evening my mother took me to her doctor. He said, what's wrong? I said, my throat hurts. He said, ok here's an antibiotic. So he didn't give me a strep test, but he gave me a a drug to fight strep. So, for some reason, I took the first dose of the antibiotic. It swelled up my tongue. So, I didn't take more. Instead I asked Rich's father to give me a strep test. So, that's what Rich and I did after the mall. Then we took the culture to the lab, went back to Rich's house for a bit, and then went out to dinner. We went to this Thai place we had been to once before. It wasn't so good this time. The service was horrible. They put us in a corner and basically ignored us. Also, I didn't think the food was all that great. Anyway, after dinner, we went back to Rich's house. We hung around for a while and then went to see "Wild Hogs." It was actually very funny. I recommend it. After the movie, we went back to Rich's house. I filled out my college application, and Rich did some work, I helped :- D. We left Rich's house at about 3:00AM. That's when he took me home.

Sunday, my mom, stepdad, and I went to Brooklyn to visit my Aunt, Uncle, and Cousin. It was Purim, so they had a little party. It was just a lunch/dinner party, but it was fun. We hadn't seen them in a while. We got home around 8:00PM. I did some reading, watched some TV, and later on I made myself a salad because I was hungry. Now I'm doing this, and I know this entry sucks, but at the moment, I don't care. I've still got to find my dad a birthday present, all before I have to go to work. Why is it that I have so much extra time, but I still don't have any time for anything? I've also got to go to my old high school and get my transcript. That should be fun, I love gonig back there (major sarcasm).

So, thats what I gotta do tomorrow. Later ppl!

I'm not going to write much of anything right now... Let's just say that overall I had a good weekend. The rest of the week was, ehh. I was on vacation, but I didn't really do anything. Thursday, my stepbrother came down from MA. He went home early this morning. I think we had a pretty good time.

So, that's my update for the moment, more later...

By the way, I haven't forgotten about Lulu and getting her out of trouble, I just don't have the energy right now.

laterz

As a further update: With this new blogger system, I can't seem to run spell check, so plewase forgive mwe.

Thanks,

Mira

Ok. So I haven't written anything in a while. I'm sorry, really. The thing is, I really didn't have the time or the energy. As I mentioned before, my best friend was here. She left last week. We did a lot of stuff together, most of which impeded greatly on my sleeping schedule. So, basically, I've been really out of it lately. She and my boyfriend don't get along as well as I think they should. They are both so stubborn about the dumbest things... Anyway, you get the idea.

Last time I wrote, it was about my anniversary dinner with my boyfriend. Ok, well we still haven't recreated our first date, but we haven't really had the oppertunity. I went to my boyfriend's house this weekend. It was my week to go there. So, Rich picked me up Friday evening and we went back to his house. We had dinner with his family, one of his brother's and his sister in law. His other brother came in later. Anyway, after dinner, Rich's sister in law helped him update his resume and then she took her husband and went home. Rich and I went to go play pool at his local pool hall. A fight almost broke out while we were there. Apparently, it was about a poker game. The bar tender said that since the two guys were regulars he let them play a game, but it didn't go so well, even though they were only playing for a few dollars. They were both totally drunk. They kept trying to beat each other up. I even heard one of the guys yell, "you wanna take this outside!" If he would have added a "bitch" afer that sentence it would have been perfect. The guy actually did go outside, but nobody would let the other guy out. It was kinda funny, really. Rich was watching the guy who went outside, turned out he went to high school with him, lol. Small world, huh?

Saturday, Rich and I planned to go ice skating. We didn't leave his house though until maybe 1:30pm. I'm not exactly sure what we were waiting for, but we seemed to be waiting for something. Anyway, we left after his dad got home. And we were off! Since we had been there two times previously, I thought that we knew how to get there. Or, more accurately, I thought that since Rich is the one driving, he knew how to get there. But he forgot, apparently. We got totally lost. Maybe for about an hour. It wasn't so much that we were lost to begin with, we just couldn't find the rink. However, Rich (against my judgement), kept going, and making turns, and just going... I'm not sure where he thought he was going. At one point we were at Adelpih University. I told him to make a U-turn, because even though I didn't know where the rink was, I DID know how to get us back to where we started from. He didn't do it though. We were getting on highways, didn't know where they led. It was a mess. We passed like, 10 gas stations, in which we could have asked for directions in each. Rich didn't want to. It was one of those male things. I soooo don't get that. If your lost would you rather stay lost, or get directions? Anyway, afer going from Great Neck, to New Hyde Park, to Lynbrooke, to Garden City, to Malverne, to Valley Stream, I called my father and asked him for directions. Actually, we found ourselves on Peninsula Blvd. which is right near my grandmother's house, so I told him to make a left and just go to her house, we would be able to find ourselves back from there. So he turned right. That's about when I called my father. Just so ya know, Rich says he couldn't turn left from the lane he was in, so that wasn't really his fault. So we gave up on the ice skating and asked my father to direct us to the mall. "Following" his directions, he ended up at Hofstra University. I'm not sure exactly how we did that. Anyway, we called my father back and he directed us again... to the mall. Oy. After wandering the mall for a little while, we were hungry, so we went to dinner at Rich's favorite Japanese restaurant. We ended up having a really nice night.

The next day, Sunday, we tried the ice skating thing again. We only got a little lost, so we made it! Unfortunately, after going around the rink a few times, Rich started falling. He can't move to well, even now. We both fell on our knees at least twice. I have bruises, for some reason he doesn't. Anyway, we had a good time while we were doing it. After the skating we went out for pizza. Then we went back to Rich's house. We watched Garden State. I've never seen it before, it's a really good movie. People have been telling me that for years and I've just never gotten around to it. Anyway, we watched that, then I think... I don't know. We ate dinner later with his parents. Then we just watched TV.

I stayed there on Sunday night because Rich was too sore to drive me home. So, on Monday we all had breakfast together. Then Rich did some work, and I read my book for a few hours. After that Rich and I watched a movie that he had to watch for class, Now and Then. It wasn't as bad we thought it would be, lol. Anyway, we just hung out for a while. I fell asleep with my head in Rich's lap, then we played a game. His mom made dinner again and aferwards Rich finally took me home, and I was sad to go. I miss him. Hopefully I'll see him again tomorrow, if not Thursday.

Have you ever loved someone so much that when you're apart it feels like part of yourself is missing? Have you ever loved someone so much that there's this connection, you know when they're upset? Well, it's a great feeling... and painful...

This past Saturday was my one year anniversary with my boyfriend! In the morning and afternoon we went to the City with my friend. We went to see my boyfriend's brother's exhibit. He did a project about the Ishtar gate in ancient Babylon. It was very interesting. After the exhibit we were all a little hungry, so went to this restaurant on 6th avenue called Jekyll and Hyde. It's a theme restaurant. There's a whole show and everything. The problem with this place is that everything is insanely expensive. I mean you are paying more for the atmosphere than the food, but still. I mean I got a salad and just that was $15.95. The burgers are 20 something and my boyfriend got a chicken sandwich, also for 20 something. I think that's a bit crazy.

Anyway, after eating we all got back into the train and back to Queens. We went to my friend's house and just hung out for a while. My boyfriend and I eventually left and we went back to my house. We planned to recreate our first date last night. It didn't quite work out. We started out from my friends house late, and we got back to my house late. We had to get dressed and all that stuff. We didn't leave my house until about 9:40pm. Then we couldn't find parking anywhere near anything. We drove around for a half hour, maybe more and found nothing. The restaurant closes at 11:00pm. We ended up at another place, Italian instead of Japanese. It's a good restaurant, just not what we planned. We'll recreate our first date, maybe next week, maybe not, but we'll do it. After dinner we ordered some champagne. It was very good :- )

After dinner we just went home. We talked for a while, then went to sleep. My boyfriend went home around noon today. I miss him.

I'll write more later, I'm tired, good night people.

Thursday, January 25, 2007

Chapter 1:

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Lulu. She was not the prettiest girl in the world, but she was unique in one way. She was the naughtiest little girl in Kew Hills. She was ten years old and always trying to find a way to show off, and also to ignore her parents.

One day Lulu was walking to school with some of her best friends, John, Mira, Debra, Sally, and Daniel. John had just come back from Florida where he had visited his grandparents. It wasn't the most exciting of trips he said, but his grandparents had gotten him this great hat, and he was talking about it, and talking about it. Honestly, he was driving Lulu crazy. She wanted to tell everybody about her great idea, but she couldn't because John wouldn't shut up about his stupid hat.
"It's just a hat John!"
And with that, she grabbed the hat, took it off his head, ran ahead of everybody, and threw it in the sewer.
"Lulu! How could you, my grandparents gave that to me!"
John shocked everybody by sitting down on the edge of the sidewalk and crying. None of them had seen John cry in years. "John it's a hat, I'm sure you could get another one," said Mira. "No I can't," said John, "My grandmother picked out that hat. It's the only thing she's ever gotten me that I actually like, it's special." Everybody said, "oh."

Lulu was running up ahead because she was so mad a John. She didn't hear him yell at her, she didn't see him crying, and she didn't see her friends trying comfort him. She walked to school alone, sat alone during lunch, and basically ignored all her friends. She was so mad all day, she didn't even notice that they were ignoring her as well. She stormed out of school early and went off into the woods.

Later on, after school, Debra asked Mira, "Where's Lulu? She wasn't in class this afternoon." "Who cares Debra, I'm sure she went home." "I guess."

So Mira, Debra, John, Sally, and Daniel walked home together. John was quiet, and the others really didn't have anything to say either. When they got back to their houses they split up and went off to do their own things. Lulu didn't come home.

My weekend is so not worth talking about...

Have you ever had any of those disturbing waking thoughts? It's like you're in a semi sleep state and you are not exactly conscious where your mind is drifting, but you aren't asleep either. Well today, I was on my way back from Connecticut with my father and grandmother, and all of the sudden I started wondering what it would be like to suddenly lose my hearing, 100% of my hearing. I found this little "dream" of mine, very disturbing. I imagined myself years ahead, married to my boyfriend, only to find that when I woke up one morning, I was totally deaf. I couldn't hear my own voice, but what upset me most was that I could no longer hear his voice. I really do love hearing his voice.

My other waking dreams, to my recollection over the years have been equally disturbing. People I love in car accidents, or in a fire, or some other horrible situation. I think, not totally sure, but I think this is the first time the horrible thing was happening to me. However, even though this was happening to me, it was more about it's impact on the people surrounding me, sort of. I'm not sure.

I'm not crazy by the way. I'm not now, nor have I ever been depressed. I'm just me. Take it or leave it.

Just as a quick note... I do not recommend going to sleep at 6:00AM. Ok, that's all I have to say.

Soooo tired....

Sunday, January 07, 2007

So, today is Sunday, officially one week into the new year. When I deposited my paycheck, I wrote '06. I just realized that. My first mistake of the year, lol. I don't think the bank noticed though, so, all's good.

Last Thursday, I went bowling with my boyfriend. We went to the only local bowling alley left, near Queens College. I guess people don't really bowl anymore? Local bowling alleys have been closing for years. Anyway, I can't bowl, seriously, I suck. I mean, I used to be better when there was a bowling alley up my block, but that closed years ago. I think the first game I bowled a 43, or something like that, and my boyfriend bowled 70 something. Ok, we both suck. In the middle of the second game, I got a call from my mother. My grandmother was in the hospital with pneumonia. Turns out she doesn't have pneumonia, but whatever. So we finished our game, I mean what else could we do? I bowled a 17 and I can't remember if my boyfriend broke 100. He got two strikes in a row in the last frame, and one almost strike, hehe. Ok, he's better at bowling than I am. When we play pool, he still tends to win, but it's a little for fair.

Anyway, he came back over for dinner on Friday night. My mom got home from work around 5:00pm, and then she and my stepdad went over to the hospital. I was left at home to cook. So, for my mom and stepdad, those wacky vegetarians, I made salmon. It was pretty plain, just grilled with a little bit of parsley. For my boyfriend and me, I made lemon chicken. I didn't have a recipe, I just guessed. I had three pieces of chicken cutlets, and three lemons. I took the chicken (washed it of course), and put it on a plate. I poured the juice from one lemon over the chicken and let it sit there for a while. Then I loosely breaded the chicken. I poured another lemon's juice over the chicken again. I added some extra breading to the plate for thickening. I put some lemon peels on top of the chicken also. I put some lemon zest on the bottom of the pot, before putting the chicken in it. I poured the last lemon into the pot and mixed it with about a teaspoon of tomato sauce and a little bit of oil. All of that together coated the bottom of the pot. I put the chicken inside and baked on 345 degrees until it was cooked. When it was done I put some parsley and sauteed onions on top of the chicken and served it. I also, stir fried some snow peas with garlic, onions, and parsley. I added some pepper and just the smallest amount of salt. I made wild rice to go with the salmon (I burned it a little bit), and I made some linguini to go with the chicken. I made a garlic and oil sauce to go on top of it. And that's it.

After dinner my boyfriend and I lounged about a bit, then we went for a walk. We ended up circling half of my town. We didn't get back until 3:30am. It was a long walk, and we stopped to get ice cream and pretzels on the way. When we got home we basically just went to sleep. My boyfriend wasn't feeling too well at that point, so I didn't set the alarm for the morning. We ended up walking up around 12:00pm. We both took showers, had a little fight, made up, and went for lunch. We went to the best local pizza place and had... you guessed it, pizza. It was very good. We just wandered around town a little bit after that, went in and put of a few stores. I needed to go the optometrists office. I need new glasses. So, I went there, I picked the frames and found out how much it will cost to have them made with my wacky prescription. Ok, not wacky, I'm just far sighted instead of near sighted. Anyway, after that we walked back to my house. My boyfriend carried me a little bit, lol. I was tired. We got back to my house talked a bit, ate a little snack, and watched a bit of TV. We fell asleep for a half hour or so. We left my house around 8:30pm, and went for dinner. We drove to a good Chinese/Japanese place called Tofu. It was good. We thought about going to a movie, but we had just missed all of them by like 10 minutes. I hate starting movies in the middle.

We ended up back at my house and we watched Minority Report. I got it on DVD a while ago, and never watched it. I recommend it. By the time it was over, it was after 3:30am, so my boyfriend went home. I miss him already.

Today isn't worth talking about, this is the most productive thing I have done thus far today. Ya know, there are a lot of bad movies on Sunday afternoon. Well, tomorrow, I'm off to work, so I'm just relaxing for the day.

How was your first week of 2007 people? How was your first weekend?

Thursday, January 04, 2007

Ok, I don't really want to write about my trip to CA. Let's just say that the majority of it was fun. I got to see family I haven't seen since last year. The kids all got taller. It's amazing how they do that from year to year. Anyway, we didn't see any sights this time out. We really just hung out. Stayed on the baby's schedule. We woke up everyday at 7:00am and had "brunch" at 9:00am. I always thought that brunch was more of a meal between 11:00am and 2:00pm. Anyway, we had fun. The only bad thing was the coming and the going. I don't really like flying. The airline lost one of our suitcases on the way there, and lost all of them on the way back. Now THAT was aggravating. On the way back to NY the wind was blowing pretty hard in Burbank CA. What does that mean? It means that either the plane had to lighten its load of people, or its load of gas. Since nobody was willing to take a later flight, the plane only took enough gas to get us to Palm Springs. So we landed there to refuel. As a side note, happened to be where President Ford's plane was waiting for him. Anyway, for some reason it took about an hour to refuel. We missed out connecting flight at Dallas Fort Worth. When we got there, the next flight was going out immediately. So we ran to the other side of the airport and boarded the new plane. We asked, "Will our luggage be put on this plane?" "Yes, of course, while you were traveling to this port (or w/e it's called for a plane), your luggage was traveling by ground." Oh please. When we landed in Laguardia at 9:30pm our luggage was not there. We went to find out where it was. Apparently, it was on the next flight, due to come in at 11:30. We could have gone on that flight if our luggage would have been put on it. Anyway, we finally got our luggage back and went to find our car. We got to it at about 12:30am and we went to go eat something. Diner at 1:00am, I do not recommend. So that was my trip to CA. I took lots of pictures, I'll post the sight when I get around to posting the pictures on it.

Ok... New Years Eve... My boyfriend and I planned to go to a nice Italian restaurant in Roslyn. He made a reservation for 10:00pm. I know that's late. He did this because they told him they were going to have post new years festivities. They lied. Or they just thought more people would be there, I don't know. Our waiter left about twenty minutes after we got there. It took me three tries to get a coke. The food was ok, nothing special. They were taking inventory, vacuuming, and just hanging around by 11:00pm. We were one of two tables that were full. The valet came into the restaurant handed Rich his car keys and said good night. They basically kicked us out by 11:45pm. We spent the next hour driving around looking for somewhere to toast in the new year. We did stop the car mid road at midnight. We had a nice long happy new year kiss. It's amazing really, nothing was open. Every bar we passed was closed. I figured they would be open late on new years. Anyway, we ended up at a bar around the corner from my boyfriend's house. We had one glass of bad champagne and then went back to his house, and finished off a bottle of good champagne. We danced a little, and talked, and eventually went to sleep. It was my best new years eve. They've always been somewhat bad before.

I don't really have anything else to say. The rest of my weekend was really not very active. I spent it with my boyfriend and his family, but we didn't really do anything. I did manage to get addicted to one of my boyfriend's car racing computer games though, lol.

Anyway, have a good day, month, year people. Happy New Year!

Saturday, December 30, 2006

So, I'm back in New York. I had quite a trip. I'm not going to write about it now though. I'm just saying hello.

Hellooooo....

Thursday, December 21, 2006

So I don't really have anything to say. I have to go to work soon. I don't feel very well. I don't know what's wrong with me exactly I just don't feel well. I called my friend in Israel and she was with her roommate, so she couldn't talk. It sounded they were in a restaurant of some sort. I guess I'll talk to her tomorrow or something. I have to leave for work in twenty minutes, so I should probably get dressed. Ucch, I just want to go back to sleep. Have a day people!

COMMENTS!! I mean if you're reading anyway what would it hurt?

Tuesday, December 19, 2006

So, my weekend was not especially eventful. I went to my boyfriend's house for dinner. His dad's birthday is... well... actually it's today, but we were all celebrating it on Friday. His mom made something middle eastern involving pumpkin. Since, I don't eat pumpkin she made me pasta. It's the first time I think I've seen the whole family together since the summer. Anyway, we had a good time.

After everybody left my boyfriend and I were supposed to go play pool or something, but he was too tired, and I'm not sure why, but I was totally out of it. So we just sat around watching TV. Saturday we planned to go ice skating, and then later after dinner to Strike. However, we managed only to go to Subway, wander around for a while, and then go to dinner in my favorite Chinese/Japanese place called Tofu. We went back to Rich's house afterwards and watched a movie, "Old School." Personally, I didn't think it was all that funny. I know many people would disagree. Whatever.

I ended up staying at his house Saturday night also. He was too tired to drive me home. So Sunday, he did lesson plans, and I read while he worked. I bothered him once in a while. All in all it was a good weekend, a sleepy weekend.

Yesterday, I went to work. It's the last week of the session, so I have to keep saying good bye to all my classes. It's slightly depressing, but I'll probably see them all again in January. So whatever. Today, I was supposed to cover for someone, but I ended up being sick, so I didn't go. Everybody seems to be coming down with something.

Meanwhile, I found out that my fam and I are going to California on the 24th, instead of the 25th, and we're leaving like at 5:30 am. It's all very aggravating. I have to go shopping. Macy's is having one of their blow out sales, so I want to go to that. Only if my mom gives me the macy's card though. What's the point in spending more if I don't have to? Anyway, I don't even want to go at this point. I don't feel especially well and I would rather spend the time with my boyfriend. If I don't go away, then my father will go away with his girlfriend. It would actually be the first time I'd be all by myself, parent wise. I really don't want to go.

Friday, December 15, 2006

Ok, first off I must start out by saying I have so many damn Christmas songs stuck in my head!!! AHHH!!! Does anybody remember those Hess Truck commercials that always came around during this time of year? The hess truck's here and we're better than ever... Hess Truck this year, the Hess Truck's here... Or something like that. That was the only Christmas commercial I ever looked forward to each year, and now that I'm thinking about it, I haven't heard it in quite a while... I gotta ask people if they remember this thing, hmm...

So, it's almost 3:00am. Since I've been especially insomniatic this week for some reason, I've been watching a lot of the Food Network. Now, I always turn it on once in a while, but somehow as a background thing. I don't watch it to learn how to cook. Oddly enough I do cook, and I like to cook, but I almost never look a recipe, and when I do, I use it more as a guide than anything else. I'm not sure what my point is. Right now I'm watching Iron Chef America, and the secret ingredient is ostrich. Now, that is a hard bird to deal with. I mean first they had to catch the thing, figure out a good way to kill it, remove the feathers and so on. I mean wow, what a show! I'm kidding really, all they had to do was cook the thing. Also, I find it interesting that I think this is my first time watching where I think the challenger is going to win. Hmm...

So, let me tell you about the excitement of last night. Around 4:30am, I was just starting to fall asleep when I heard loud blasting music (techno I believe). I went upstairs to look out of the window, and what did I find? I found a drunk man peeing on my lawn. Granted I've only lived here a few years, but I have never seen anything like this over here. Well... Something similar once a couple of years ago, I'll tell you about it later... Anyway, this man looked very confused. He was either jerking himself off, or shaking the piss off his dic, hard to tell with the lighting as it was. It looked as if he forgot which house he was supposed to be going to. For a few minutes I thought he was going to try to wander up my front walk, or try to go in the backyard. However, he eventually wandered off up or down the block, I'm not sure. At least he got out of his car and was not driving, he could have killed someone.

This morning, on my way to work, a policeman stopped me and asked if I knew any languages. I just figured I wouldn't say something like, "No hablo ingles." or, "ani lo midaberet angleet." I also didn't say, "Besdies English?" I just said that the only language I know is English and walked on. I mean, I don't know anything else with enough fluency to be of use to anybody as translator, unless you count pig latin... You don't count pig latin, do you?

So, tomorrow I am going to work, not sure exactly what I'm teaching my class yet. We played duck duck goose at the end of class last time, I'm wondering if they would understand the concept of Indian Chief... Hmm... (Please tell me you know what that is, I don't want to feel old again). I'll probably set up an obstacle course at some point. I did that today with my nursery class, they liked it. I could also play musical skooters if the mood strikes. Hey! I think I just planned my lesson, lol.

Stream of consciousness is great isn't it? I mean you never know what's going to come out. My back is killing me. I'm Meeting my boyfriend by his work area tomorrow. My mother seems to think I am insane. Well good for her. Maybe she doesn't realize that there's no reason he has to drive all the way over here since he's going to be exhausted at that point. It's not the easiest trip in the world for me, but it isn't impossible. I mean I used to go to school in that area five times a week. If she minded it so much then she could have gotten me a car, but she didn't. So, I don't know what her problem is. He lives near there, so he doesn't have to leave his area tomorrow. He always picks me up because I don't have a car. He never complains or anything, he's very sweet about it. However, it's just nice for me to be able to meet him this one time. I am going to make his life easier by doing this, so why shouldn't I do it? I don't know, my mother is weird like that.

Anyway, it's 3:17am, I'm going to attempt to go to sleep. I have to wake up at 9:30 so I'm going to try to get at least six hours of sleep. Adios muchachos!!!

Hi people. Sorry I haven't written in a while, I guess I've just been lazy.

So, last Friday my boyfriend came over. I made a meatloaf. It was pretty damn good if I say so myself. Anyway, after dinner we didn't do much. Just talked and watched TV. Saturday, we had a late start to the day. We left the house around 2:00pm maybe. We had lunch (maybe it was brunch?) in a little place that always reminds me on Central Perk (the coffee house from Friends). He had some sort of chicken wrap and I had an egg sandwich and a lot of good fries. Anyway, after lunch (or brunch) we wandered around my area. We got my boyfriend's glasses fixed (he somehow managed to punch them in his sleep, so they were crooked). While we were at the glasses store I tried on a few new frames. I think I found a pair of frames I like. I haven't been able to find them online, so if I end up getting them, I'll take a picture and stick it in here somewhere.

Anyway, after that, we went to Starbucks and wandered with our hot drinks. We bought movie tickets for The Holiday to see later on, and we went to Duane Reade and I got some moisturizer and dark chocolate m&m's. You read correctly DARK CHOCOLATE M&M'S!!!! At that point we went back to my house and I spent some time editing my boyfriends 95 page paper on the fall of the Roman Republic. Of course the m&m's came with me, lol. It was a very well thought out paper of Rich's part (G-d help his professor). After the editing we realized we didn't have enough time to go to dinner before the movie. So, we ate left over meatloaf with a nice fresh salad. We left and spent the next half hour or so looking for parking somewhere near the movie theater. We missed the first 15 minutes of the movie. However, I really liked the movie. It was good. After the movie we went back to my house, talked a bit and fell asleep.

I do not even want to go into Sunday, or Monday. Let me just say it involved a Chanukah Festival and a booth called "Toss the Latke." Don't ask. Just imagine, lol.

So, that was my weekend. How was yours people?
By the way.... comment me huh?

Hey people. Today is Tuesday December 5th at 12:46pm. So, I'll tell you about my weekend I guess. On Friday I went to my boyfriend's house. His brother came over for dinner. His mom made a very good lasagna. After dinner we all watched a very stupid movie on lifetime. I believe it was called Noel. Susan Sarandon was in it, among other people of course, including Robin Williams. With all the good actors in the movie, it really sucked. It was so gloppy, so sweet, and so magically christmasy. Bleh. As a movie, it also jus sucked, it was highly predictable and low key. I mean there was no action what so ever, ehh.

Later that night my boyfriend's brother went home and his parents went to sleep and my boyfriend and I were left watching TV in the basement. We didn't watch anything special, just TV. My boyfriend fell asleep and later we just talked for a bit. On our way upstairs we noticed flashing lights in front of the house. We looked out the window and saw a car, on its side on the front lawn. The flashing lights belonged to the police and the toe truck who were trying to get the car off the front lawn. My boyfriend went upstairs to tell his parents about it. They called the police and were informed that the person driving was a 16/17 year old high school student. She supposedly fell asleep driving and went threw the neighbors bushes and then found herself crashing into a tree on my boyfriend's property, continued weaving around and managed to crash through his bushes. Her car flipped over at some point. If she had gone about ten feet farther she would have been in his dining room.

Amazingly enough the girl was absolutely fine and so was her passenger. The next morning my boyfriend went out to clear the driveway and while he was there, the girl's father came by with his gardener. They basically assessed the damage. My boyfriend scratched up his face with some pieces of tree and finally came back inside. Later on his mother told me that the bushes the girl destroyed had been planted there in 1929. So she was very upset. The whole thing was just upsetting to everyone.

Saturday, after my boyfriend cleaned off the driveway, we sat around watching TV for a while. Later his parents got back from work, then his brother and his wife came over. They are going to Africa I believe, so they needed to get Hep C vaccinations. Rich and I wanted to go ice skating, but my ankle sort of hurt, and after his brother left, the rink was closed. So we took a little trip into Roslyn, ate lunch, and did a little shopping. We couldn't think what else to do, so we ended up going to another area and did more shopping. We went to Best Buy and I got Minority Report, and Rich got Syriana. Then we went to The Source Mall. We didn't buy anything we just walked around. I went hysterical for a while (laughing). I couldn't stop for like an hour. Every time Rich looked at me I would just burst out into hysterical laughter. We had to leave stores after a while, I mean they were looking at me like I was insane. I was doubled over and hanging onto Rich so I wouldn't fall down.

After the mall, we went back towards his area and ate dinner in a cute little Thai restaurant. After that, we went back to his house and watched Syriana. Then he took me home.

The next day I went to work. A cute little girl's birthday party. It went alright. Didn't do anything much the rest of the day. Actually, I fell asleep. I was exhausted.

Monday, I went to work, ate dinner with my father, and went to sleep.

So, that was my weekend and Monday. Yours?
